“Super·Cor®” is a more economical alternative to conventional AASHTO beam bridges. It provides superior strength and lightweight construction.

Super•Cor’s larger annular corrugations provide nine times the stiffness of conventional structural plate. The lightweight, modular panels can be shipped easily and economically making it even more advantageous for remote locations.

Super•Cor saves time and money in installation. The panels can be assembled adjacent to the job site, then moved into place using relatively light equipment. And, if the road needs to be widened later, Super•Cor allows for easy extension with additional panels.

“The Tunable Bridge™” is a lightweight, low-cost, easy-to-install, and very attractive PEDESTRIAN bridge.

“The Tunable Bridge™ ”is short on costs, long on possibilities, and, with clear spans of up to 400 feet, is expected to take modular steel bridges to a whole new dimension – especially in light rail and transit applications over major transportation corridors. Its unique design combines the inherent benefits of a hinged tied arch system with those of a standard steel truss system. The structures’ natural frequencies can then be can balanced or “tuned” like a finely-tuned instrument.

We also provide bridges for golf courses, resorts, private developers, national parks, national forests, industrial walkways and on state department of transportation projects. Our pedestrian bridges are available in a number of attractive styles.

Big R manufactures modular sections that allow for rapid installation in the field. These bridges are ideal for public works applications, as local crews using on-hand equipment can typically place the superstructure in one day. Superstructures can be fabricated with both square and skewed ends to suit any site conditions. Spans from 16’ to over 150’ are available in any width.

BIG R: ROLLED BEAM SUPERSTRUCTURES

Big R rolled beam superstructures, for field erection, fill the need of many state D.O.T. projects as well as county, municipal and private installations. Girders for superstructures are prefabricated. All fabrication is done in accordance with the current standard requirements for highway bridges adopted by AISC/AASHTO, applicable to the project. After fabrication, girders are blast-cleaned then primed or painted if specifications require.

The strength and longevity of aluminum structural plate has been proven with the success of over thousands of structures installed from coast to rugged coast.
