Viatek Corporation is expanding into Panama.  The current Panamanian government led by the Ministry of Health and the Institute of Water and Sewage Systems (IDAAN) is focusing on repairing Panama City's sewer system due to the impact it has on society, health and its future development. Viatek Corporation has been able to get the support from the Panamanian government to pursue implementation of its Airvac vacuum sewer systems in Panama.

October, 2009:

Viatek Corporation opened a training facility for its clients using vacuum sewer technology at its first vacuum station located in Barrio Obrero, San Juan, Puerto Rico. This training office is available to simulate field conditions and onsite problems to help the owners of the vacuum sewer systems in solving problems and running its systems efficiently. The 2 day operators school is conducted at two locations (San Juan and Culebra Island) and is led by Viatek's chief Airvac expert, Mr. Carlos Corrada.
August, 2009:

Viatek Corporation has been awarded its third vacuum sewer system located in the Cantera area of San Juan, Puerto Rico. This new system will serve approximately 1,100 homes with a single vacuum station. The area for which the Puerto Rico Water & Sewage Authority (PRASA) has approved the project has suffered from major infrastructure and sanitary problems throughout the past few decades.

February, 2010:

Vacuum technology used in a new sewer system for the Cantera area of San Juan is delivering big savings for the government corporation underwriting the infrastructure project that will benefit some 1,100 households. According to Santiago Toro, president of the local engineering company called Viatek Corporation that distributes the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved Airvac technology, the cost of the vacuum sewer system at this project is almost half of the cost of the comparable traditional gravity sewer system. This project  is financed by the Cantera Peninsula Integrated Development Co., a government corporation, and will provide a clean and cost-effective solution to a longstanding environmental problem in a heavily populated area in the heart of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
August, 2007:

Viatek Corporation has been awarded its second vacuum sewer system located in the Island of Culebra, Puerto Rico. This new system will serve approximately 800 homes with a single vacuum station. This project is of the utmost importance for its residents as it is aimed at stopping the pollution of the islands fragile eco-system.
February, 2010:

Viatek Corporation's  Airvac vacuum sewer system has been featured on the front page of the Water World magazine, a prominent magazine serving the Municipal  Water/Wastewater Industry in the USA.

Viatek Corporation has officially put into operation its first hybrid Airvac vacuum sewer system situated in the island of Culebra in Puerto Rico. This system is combining vacuum sewer technology with traditional gravity sewer system for the optimal recuperation of the island's severely damaged eco-system.
