Viatek Corporation is installing its third vacuum sewer system in Cantera community of San Juan, Puerto Rico. This new system will serve 1,100 homes with a single vacuum station. The area for which the Puerto Rico Water & Sewage Authority approved the project has had a major infrastructure and sanitary problems for years. The government saved 50% in costs and two year in installation compared to the gravity system proposed for the area.

Project: Second Vacuum Sanitary Sewer System
Location: Culebra Island, Puerto Rico

Viatek Corporation is installing its vacuum second sewer system in the island of Culebra. This new system will serve 600 homes with a single vacuum station. The area for which the Puerto Rico Water & Sewage Authority approved the project has been a major infrastructure and sanitary problem for years.The island of Culebra has no waste water treatment plant and all of the island's sewerage goes into the bay or the ocean. The government saved 70% in costs and one year in installation compared to the gravity system proposed for the area.

Viatek Corporation breaks into Puerto Rico's market with the landmark project Barrio Obrero Marina. This new system, which has gathered ample media coverage, will serve 900 homes with 300 valves and a single vacuum station. This is only the first phase of four in a crucial project in the capital city of San Juan. The area for which the Puerto Rico Water & Sewage Authority and the Roads Authority approved the project has been a major infrastructure and sanitary problem for years. The government saved 40% in costs and one year in installation compared to the gravity system proposed for the area.
